Ah, but unfortunately the Southern Gentlemen is a dying breed, at least for now. I think that within a generation it will be back. Call it adaption to the modern world.

I am just speaking for myself, but if my sweet great-grandmother ever caught wind of me not acting like the proper gentleman she raised me to be, I don’t doubt that she would rise from the grave to hunt be down and give me a proper scolding. And I don’t know about you, but the thought of a zombie scolding me scares the crap out of me.

fortunately I have one good buddy from Huntsville…he is an extremely bright guy even tho he speaks with a very slow drawl and an accent that is as back woods as can be….he is an authentic redneck and the most polite fellow imaginable..I have never heard him say an unkind word about or toward anyone…if he has a beef, it’s shrouded with good ol boy humor…as far as I know everybody just loves him to pieces, but you need to be patient with conversation….he is hilarious but very slow to make his point….he yalks to himself and has every old southern expression you can think of….and he calls me a good ol Yankee boy
