re: #722 Kenneth

The Palestinian Arabs were given a state by the UN in 1947. They and all the Arab League refused it.

Palestinians had a state - Transjordan, which wasn’t enough. They wanted all of the Jewish state of Israel to cease to exist. King Hussein didn’t want to give his territory (the West Bank - which was actually meant for the Palestinians) to the Palestinians, and refused to create a Palestinian state there from 1948 through 1967, when Israel captured it after Jordan attacked during the 6 Day War. Israel captured the West Bank, including Jerusalem in 3 days.
