Google? Hah!

The word is “Schmetterling”.

And I dare you to make fun of it.

Schmetterlinge frolicking in the sunshine are as romantic to a German as any damn Frenchy papillons.

Say what you want about German, but even tran-wreck words liek Steuerhinterziehungsbekmpfungsgesetz (anti-tax evasion act) are easy to spell compared to most anything in English. There are standard rules taht apply, and things generally are prounounced as they are spelled and vice versa.

And I find German a very good language for expressing matters that have to do with the subtleties of personal and social relationships, which makes it very good language for a lot of literature. It just sucks for rock and roll, except for massively heavy Death Metal.
