I was 7 when that all went down. All I heard is that it got shot down like Cheney’s hunting buddy, for reasons I have yet to find out. Other than that, Clinton left in 2000-1 with a budget surplus.

I’m content, that’s for sure. It’s nice to see that gay marriage is being legalized - and then the issue just finally fading away/put to rest after the “rush” - in their respective states (save for perhaps California.)
