Acupuncture’s cheap, dirt cheap. Most of my other gig’s clients pay outta pocket, although many policies do cover it.

I can vouch for that. I’ve mentioned this before, but I had a situation where I had such pain in both shoulders that I couldn’t lift my arms much higher than my waist. Surgeon wanted to operate on both - singly or at once. My wife knew of an acupuncturist that came to our town twice a week. Decided to give it a try before having surgery.

He asked me to put my hands against the wall, and walk toward the wall, walking my hands up it until I couldn’t take any more. I did, and got a little over waist high.

He gave me two treatments. At the end of the second, he asked me to try the test again. I was able to walk right up to the wall, with my arms extended completely vertically. And no pain at all.

Total cost was $130 - $65 per visit. That was almost four years ago, and I’ve had no trouble since.

It’s not for everything, or everyone, but it is certainly worth looking at!
