That stupid-ass meme irritates the shit out of me. Yes, people can and do make idiotic comparisons to the Nazis (c.f. lots of Tea Partiers, lots of GWB-era war protesters) but I can’t think of a better way to avoid the lessons of history than having system that ensures one will be mocked and shouted down every time ones tries to remind people what that particular chunk of history might have smelled like.
