BB King sure is one of the greats. Sooner or later it hit me that I appreciated tone and melody more than speed or technical abilities. What happened during the speed era was more of a physical phenomenon. Not to say that McLaughlin, DiMeola, Morse, etc. weren’t good it just seemed to always revolve around 16th and 32nd notes.

DiMeola could be outright un godly. I swear he had 10 fingers,,,, on each hand !
