You’re bringing ‘abuse’ into this when it isn’t the issue. My question is not about abuse. It’s about whether or not they are the person best equipped to make decisions for that child.

Obviously, the decision they’d make is that the child should refrain from any sort of sexual activity, including fantasy, and fight against their actual nature.

Do you think that is the decision that would benefit the gay child the best?

Who is better, and how do we appoint them to make decisions for this child?
