That’s the theory behind some schemes to harness car traffic and the wind generated by passing cars.

Other schemes include using various materials to leach particulates out of the air around highways to lead to cleaner air.

here’s a local article of an alternative energy source idea I always found intriguing..it kind of solves the NIMBY problem…unless you are of the aquatic persuasion…which I would suppose these turbines might disrupt marine life..but it is an interesting concept..
