It’s a link to a Salon piece that dissembles the GOP and right wing talking points about what the Founders would or wouldn’t consider to be essential rights - and how the Bill of Rights was not something that the Federalists considered necessary and that they would create far more limited rights by spelling out what could or couldn’t be done by the government instead of the checks and balances found in the Constitution proper.
