4 was really really bad. I haven’t really even cared about 5 it was so bad.

I’ve looked into the various OD&D clones but I have no gaming group so it doesn’t really matter much.

Check out Roll20. Best virtual table out there. Use Team speak for voice and it’s almost like being there. I ran an OD&D clone (Basic Fantasy Role Playing Game) until we decided to switch to 5e. That was about the time my pain issues got to be too much. Still hope to go back eventually.
