Iām not sure thereās āone true libertarianā view on most issues. There are some who favor open borders (if youāre looking for a sound bite position thatās probably where I fall on immigration), there are some who take the position you state, and probably 20 other positions. Getting libertarians to agree isnāt the easiest thing in the world.
I think thatās why theyāll never be a successful party. I actually know a lot of libertarians. My alma mater was full of em. Another problem I observed during the Va governorās race was that while they ran a candidate for governor, they didnāt bother running one for Lt Governor or AG. Libertarians want to be a major party but they donāt want to do the work that is required to become a major party in my observations since theyāre too busy arguing about who is more purer than thou.
