Indeed, someone was going to make it known before the polls closed tomorrow. AP just did what any major news organization does: It broke the scoop before anybody else could. News orgs that choose to sit on stories until they feel the timing is right not only lose readers/viewers, they also run the risk of being accused of having influenced the outcome.

Bottom line…with today’s media and the internet, added to the makeup of people, there is no way to do anything that someone will not bitch about.
