One of my FB friends is a newly minted teacher. He has been going off lately on the topic. It’s been pretty spectacular to see. It boils down to, “Force me to take a gun, and I quit. Ask me to take a gun, and I’ll tell you where to shove it.”

My parents tried to sell me on arming myself in the classroom last night.

I was polite because they are my parents, after all…but damn.
