It’s a two (should be more) party system. I may currently be in the political minority, but I still have a voice in this government and I will not be dismissed easily.

No one is dismissing you. I am dismissing the notion that the overwhelming electoral success of Democratic candidates was somehow a proof that republican opinions should take precedence. It’s bizarre, but a number of people have argued something like that and are doing so even in this thread.
