You need to read up on the history of Nazi Germany. The Nazis borrowed heavily from both the left and right. Many in the Nazi movement were actually ex-Communists who joined because of the ultra-nationalistic flavor of the movement. They believed the “Socialist” part of the National Socialist name, many even believed they were like the Communists except nationalist. And many of the policies of the National Socialist German Workers party were similar to those proposed by Communists and Socialists. Hitler in many of his speeches before taking power spent a good deal of time railing against capitalism and the rich industrialists, which is why so many were disappointed when Hitler assumed power and started paling around with the industrialists he needed to pull off his schemes. Kinda like someone we know?

The Nazis may seem right wing from a distance, but in fact incorporated and borrowed ideas, methods and philosophies from the Communists. Indeed, many in the Nazi terror apparatus admired and spent a lot of time studying the methods of the KGB and of the Communists in Germany. I wouldn’t go as far as to call them left wing, but to call them right wing, as so many do, doesn’t add up if you read the actual history.
