Yes they are, we can agree on that. They are not spending on jobs, they are taking advantage of the situation and sitting on their money (including the banks who outright got handouts from all the taxpayers).

It was just on the radio this morning, so I don’t have any links, but companies like Microsoft (they had a whole list of industry leaders) are sitting on billions right now, and the reporter could only get Caterpillar to admit that they will be spending that money on some new hiring. The other companies had no comment.

Why should they do differently right now? From the perspective of a large corporation, now is not a time they want things to improve. Better to wait for a more friendly Congress after the mid-terms.
