They think they’ll make gains by throwing red meat to the wingnuts. What articles like that really do is throw coal on the fire. You can make the case that Obama is economically illiterate (as I believe him to be) without being inflammatory.

I think it’s the mainstreaming of rhetoric I was predicting two years ago that you would hear. Predicting it to the point that Charles suggested that I was becoming too inflammatory. So, I toned it down. I wasn’t support this option (as these writers appear to be doing), but I was pointing out that from what I was hearing on the “street” so to speak, that there were real possibilities of outbreaks like this actually happening in the next 15-20 years.

It may be inflammatory, it may be reactionary, but complaining about it, calling it crazy, trying to pigeon-hole the idea as this or that is not going to stop what I see has been building for years.
