Well, Young’un, would you believe that NY Grampa was an SP4, in the Army, when we married? He was literally drafted the day after he graduated from CCNY….our oldest son is a military brat.

Oh, the hardship! ;) He was stationed at the now-defunct Boston Army Base, and since I am from Boston, we lived in an apartment, as the base had no housing, and thus were near my parents zt”l! We met in Brooklyn, when I was a nursing student there. We did move back to NY when daughter was born, and have lived here since. I was joking on a thread last week re not being able to talk with a Bahstahn accent any more no matter how hard I tried. No joke..it’s true! And I have not driven a car since I was in my early 20’s, as driving anywhere in the Greater Boston area is suicidal, so help me! Everything and anything that you may have heard re Boston drivers is true.
