Not really. Trump got caught shaming one of his own supporters.

That could turn into bad news in the media.

Therefore Trump has to make up a lie, any lie, to “prove” what was seen on video and uncovered later did not happen. The press has to report it because “both sides.” It becomes another brick in the wall of conservative religion, which cannot be refuted or shown false because they have their faith and their priests (conservative pundits, politicians, and influencers) have told them what to believe.

My favorite moment of the Obama presidency was that time at his rally he called someone he thought was a protester, a ‘fatty’, and demanded he be ejected from the building, and everybody laughed and we all applauded and…..oh wait that never happened.
