I agree with you that whoever would be in power now would be paying the price for the economy. Chris Christie could be the straight talker that could beat Obama.

RR and Clinton were both in pretty much the same position politically at this point in their respective presidencies, and there were widespread expectations both times that they would be one term presidents

it could very well be be that Obama may follow the same pattern and by 2012 see his approval ratings risen from an average now of 44-46% to well over 50% - and he might prove hard to beat

that’s what i’m hoping for, anyway…
