My deal is that I enjoy debate far more than I like to argue.
I enjoy debate.
I don’t go looking for things to argue about simply because I disagree, or find the topic uncomfortable.
I don’t pick up stray comments without following back to find the context so I can argue with other people.
I like to learn from other people, even when I don’t agree with them.
I don’t view people with thoughts different from my own as outside of my tribe; just from a different branch.

I like being here. I like people who like being here.

And my snides aside, I really did want your take on this issue and I enjoyed finding new facts.
