I’d rather have a low 5% flat rate income with no deductibles to free up the billions in wasted dollars in processing taxes leaving sales tax to the states. I’d also like to see certain government programs such as Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid reorganized into individual accounts with such accounts going to beneficiairies of the taxpayer’s chosing as part of a legacy program in the event of death. The tax problems are just symptoms of a much bigger problem of wasted time and money of constant government growth.

That’s the result of generations of politicians ‘creating jobs’. Yeah, government jobs.

What do you propose we do with those likely hundreds of thousands of displaced ‘compliance’ workers? That’s the fundamental problem with ANY bureaucratic downsizing effort.
