May 10 for me means 2 things:

1940: Nazi troops invaded Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxemburg. The Netherlands hold out 3 days, Belgium 18 days, Luxemburg has no meaningful defense force: France is next.

Yes, indeed. The German Blitzkrieg of May-June 1940 is a very interesting campaign to study. The initial German thrusts in into Belgium and The Netherlans were mainly a ruse, to draw Allied force north. The main thrust of 7 panzer divisions pushed through the Ardennes and pushed across the Meuse at Sedan, Dinant, and Monthereme.
