I have encountered an orthodox rabbi or two who objected to being touched by female doctors. I think they usually considered it okay if the doctor was wearing gloves, although they weren’t especially pleased about it.

I have also heard of Muslim men who won’t allow their wives to be treated by male doctors. Somewhere I read about a growing problem in France, in which Muslims men are murdering their wives’ male gynecologists.
