After traveling from Detroit to NY and taking coffee all along the way, Zedushka and I have decided that the best coffee is made by:

Dunkin Donuts coffee is way overrated.

Worst coffee: at the Quality Inn where we spent the night.

Dunkin donuts won its rep because it did one of the small things right. It was mandatory that the carafes be washed every time between brewings. The lack of the older oil from previous batches made a difference.

It’s why my rule one for good coffee is “clean”.
