President Obama is a Constitutional lawyer by profession. He taught in University of Chicago Law School for ten years. He’s in a unique position to appreciate how dangerous the Republican temper tantrum (the shutdown) is to our Constitutional system. The Affordable Care Act has gone through all the Constitutional hurdles: passed by both houses of Congress, signed into law by the President, upheld by the Supreme Court. Our Constitutional system is based on this being ENOUGH.

So I don’t believe the President will give an inch on the shutdown. He has too much respect for the Constitution, and he will not allow it to be weakened on his watch.
