We’re going over the fiscal cliff, I think that’s pretty obvious now. I’m actually surprised Boehner made the gesture of convening a session on Sunday. The GOP hates President Obama with a passion; they wouldn’t agree to raise the debt ceiling, and they’re going to do the same thing here. Take it right into the red zone. Let the economy start to tank.

We’ll see what happens after that.

It’s an empty gesture on Boehner’s part, he’s not going to make any moves that might jeopardize his position until after the 3rd. Assuming that McConnell could work an 11th hour miracle and produce a bill from the Senate with bipartisan support, the House would kill it dead because it will undoubtedly see some or all of the upper tax rate cuts expire.
