Mind - I’m very happy with this cold and frosty winter: ground is frozen hard for at least an inch and a half - that means the slug and snail eggs will have been killed off! And if one lives in slugs’ paradise, that is really good news!

Heh. The ground freezes here, but we get all kinds of bugs (and even slugs and snails) in the warmer months. Want some of our ground-freezing resistant species? ;-)
