Yeah, there’s a real shortage of Arabic and Persian translators. It’s weird how they work too. They break up documents (and tapes) into small chunks, sometimes as small as one sentence. and then spread out the work to a bunch of translators who don’t know each other so nobody really knows what they’re translating. Then somebody reassembles the document and goes over it. I’m sure there’s some kind of background check but the security clearance isn’t really hard to get.
