Not to get to personal JCM, but how do you keep the emotions out of foster care. I would bond very quickly with the infants. The older ones I would battle with cause I like my life to run a certain way with little conflict. You spend so much energy trying to do the beat foe the kids, knowing that their time is short with you.

You give the kids everything, and yes you bond with them all. They need someone, and it wouldn’t be fair to hold back. They’ve had a raw deal for what ever reason. So we need to be the adult, we can deal with the loss of each child, going on to what ever is next for them. We just need to do what we can for them. It’s probably harder on them, bonding with us, then getting moved yet again to a new home.

That part is never easy, but it’s worthwhile, know that for however long they were with us it was a better situation for them.

So far we’ve kept and adopted 3 of them. The process is to try to keep kids with family whenever possible.
