So News Corp. execs have told him he can’t have a show on FNC because of some stereotype they have about African-Americans and because they feel their White viewership won’t tune in for someone with different color skin than theirs?

1. I am dubious about the stereotype and about the assessment of the white viewership.

2. Even if Fox buys into both, you’d think they’d give Williams a show as a public relations ploy.

Shouldn’t a conservative broadcaster be going out of its way to appeal to middle-class American blacks? Is Fox conservative and dumb or just amoral?

3. This is yet another indication of Newscorp’s dysfunction. Success breeds arrogance; arrogance breeds complacency; complacency breeds stupidity. Their phone hacking is looking ever less surprising. Surely there is more where that came from.
