We actually would be doing better if the tax cuts weren’t in place and trade war wasn’t ongoing. The latter is having a depressive effect, and the tax cuts were done via redistributing wealth to millionaires while the burdens flow to everyone else in higher debt and service cuts (and the GOP demanding more cuts to “balance” the books).
