The minute the leaders of the military “decide” that, on their own, without the courts, decide that someone is trying to incite a coup, and do something about it (what, arrest him?), you no longer have a democracy, you have a military dictatorship.

Generals, admirals, colonels, captains, one by one resigning would get a whole lot more attention, particularly from the media to every person in the USA. That would also deny the would-be autocrat of a competent leadership to impose a military dictatorship.

There’s a fuckton of idiots responding to the tweet claiming the exact opposite. Obviously not seeing that the second the military gets involved in that, it means the leadership of this country serves at the pleasure of the military and not the people.
