Intel i7, >1TB RAID, 8GB. Not much more than pocket change.
Careful with ASUS mobos though, some have boot problems. Gigabyte seems good middle of the road stuff.

Make sure your power supply is big enough, and add case fans.

Yes, do not skimp on the power supply. Get a good quality one.
