Completely agree, and often voters don’t even need a familiar name— they just vote for the one that belongs to their party.
For a lot of people, they stop weighing and assessing politicians on their individual merits the day they register as either R or D.
Not everyone, obviously— but many.
I’m really at the point of requiring a civics competency test to be able to vote.
It doesn’t even to be has hard as this one. Lizards report a average score of 90% college profs 55%.
I know all the issues around it, but we’ve the de Tocqueville tipping point when half the population is being bribed out of the treasury.
