She is the second longest lasting companion in Doctor Who History, from first to last main appearance (Asylum of the Daleks to Hell Bent (Both as her Echoes)). Only the Brigadier lasted longer.

When she departs in late December, she will have been a companion for 3 years, and 3 months. Longer than most Doctors in fact. Only the 3rd, 4th, 10th, and 11th lasted longer.

And Doctor Who is an intense show.
