That seems to be the point of impeachment: to make the GOP Senate come out and admit that they are unreasonable and dishonorable enough to support Donald Trump despite his High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

The rallying cry in 2020 will be “It is up to voters to do the job that the GOP Senate was too craven to finish.”
