The high polling figures are on the millionaire tax rates - but there is broad support for a generalised higher rate.

An increase on those higher earners will yield far more than rinsing the poor - which seems to be the only thing the GOP pols can come up with as a policy.

Frankly, it’s hard to raise more than 20% of GDP no matter what you do. We’re better off getting more from higher earners, flattening corporate taxes while crushing loopholes, and learning to live within 20%.
