In any case it will still be timely, I fear— the growth of the militia movement in the 90’s was fuelled by anti-govt rhetoric, and just as we’re seeing a return to the anti-abortion violence of the 90’s, I think we can expect a similar wave of violence from extremist groups and individuals with violent anti-govt sentiments.

I hope not. This hateful act should be latched onto by conservatives. We ought to use it to remind the world how dangerous terrorism is, and reiterate our opposition to it in any form. While doing that, we need to read a few crazies out of the party.
