Re-read my comment again and this time think about it.

Casinos rob suckers. They generate zero wealth. Gambling addictions destroy families. Organized crime is heavily involved in most casinos.

Remind me, what positive contribution do casinos make?

Wow! Lighten up a bit. Gambling is fun and exciting on occasion. Las Vegas is a good example of how casinos can generate wealth. There’s no other place like it and lots of stuff to do other than gamble. Without the casinos, it wouldn’t be the amazing city it is.

Addiction is another topic altogether. I don’t really understand it. Any time I’ve had a behavior that I decided was bad for me, I quit. I suspect a lot of people just really don’t want to stop doing the things they say are bad for them.
