I’m not trying to play logic games with you, nor am I trying to insult you.
I’m trying to understand your argument over the Temple Mount. It seems to me there are two possibilities:
1) Claims to ownership are based on religious belief (I don’t think you’re making this argument)
2) Claims to ownership are based on a combination of length of ownership and “cultural importance” (which we will assume can be measured).
I think you are arguing from position 2 that the Jewish people have a unique claim to the Temple Mount, and that Muslim claims to it are not legitimate. My argument is that position 2 also leads to a legitimate Muslim claim to the site, since they satisfy its prerequisites. Maybe not as “strong” a claim (whatever that means) but a claim nonetheless.
Yes I am arguing two.
