Did anyone ever get anything important done without first challenging a belief? Every modern comfort that you have in this life comes from people that were not content with knowing less. Religion in it’s many forms encourages strongly that people be content without knowing anything more.

challenging = offending? small vocabularies are sad.

And why does religion encourage such a thing?
