re: #788 Aceofwhat?

Bullshit. I quite care about making my point as clearly and honestly as possible; it would be dishonest to debate otherwise. You presume dishonesty. Period.

Then you’re presuming dishonesty on my part right now. Great.

And if you believe that I am below standard, it is incumbent upon you to SHOW it, not say that i don’t “care” and than i’m “casual” and then walk away.

I have shown, it, Ace, to the best of my ability. Your argument is especially weak when you say that for Seperate But Equal it was okay to consider results, but now it isn’t because there aren’t any laws that are odious enough. That, more than anything Marshall has said, is an indication that subjectivity is key in interpreting law. There is no objective measure that could be used as a guide for when it’s okay or not. You are there essentially making Marshall’s argument more strongly than he did.

At least quote yourself accurately when you’re insulting. And thanks again for giving up on such a subjective judgment.

I am going to walk away from this now, Ace, because I feel your reaction is far out of bounds of what I’ve said. I didn’t mean any imputation of dishonesty whatsoever. I do think your argument was terrible, and when it comes down to insisting you can interpret words he said to mean something entirely different, I can’t do anything with that.

I also do not think there is any moral flaw in stopping a debate at any point.
