Rugby: A thug’s game played by gentlemen (though Rugby Union there can be questions).

On that subject (not Union but League), I am trying like crazy to root for a team in the Super League XIV but having difficulties (definitely not Leeds or St. Helen’s).

The NRL is easy, how can you not root for a team named the Rabbitohs (cute little bunny rabbits with very ugly uni’s)

The second part of that quote is ‘soccer - a game for gentlemen played by thugs’. So yep, the gentlemen are definitely playing Rugby Union! Being a gentleman is a state of mind, not a question of ancestry. after all, our best Welsh players used to be miners, and are still from working class stock!

I don’t follow Rugby League, thats played by traitors up North!
