You are taking that to an absurd extreme. Yeah, rolling into ER in a modern facility you still face a very significant fatality rate. It’s higher with poorer treatment of course. But early treatment is not something that comes anywhere close to guaranteeing survival. especially for those not in prime health or of a prime of youth age. That’s enough to be scared of the disease. I’m scared of lots of diseases. Not all are close, nor does it do anything to me but maybe sharpen some hygiene habits.
