I keep thinking of the cases of elder abuse fueled by dementia that I saw going through family court. The husband would be a crusty old coot, often a WWII veteran (this was the early 90s when I did the escort-to-court thing), and one of the symptoms of dementia is paranoia and irrational rage.

And yes, in public the men were bad enough. Deputies often had to intervene to drag away a guy spraying me with spittle in a rant. In private?

Can you imagine what the reaction from Fox would be if Michelle Obama was acting this way towards Barack? They’d be unearthing every awful, stomach-twisting racist “ghetto abuser” meme they could find, and there’d be an unending parade of so-called experts on the tube yammering and making shit up.
