“Parallel universes”, as in those with a bearded Spock, simply represent the fact that the Universe is endless, but we represent the outcome of a finite (if astronomically improbable) set of possibilities.
I am certain that if we are ever able to travel far and fast enough, we will come to places that are nearly indistinguishable to where we set out from, or perhaps exist at a point in time ahead or behind us.
Will we have we traveled in time or space, and what the heck difference would it make at that point?

We might get to a place where ur-Hillary Clinton is President and ur-Donald Trump is sadly spending his days on ur-Twitter.
