My hair grew as an Afro. 3rd grade teacher thought it was so funny to call me “N-Word-Head” and that stuck all thru the day I got out of High School Hell. Bad enough she did it so did the rest of the teachers, the coaches and staff encouraged kids to use that slur.

This was also my “nickname” in elementary and middle school, but thankfully that stopped once our school was integrated in 1964 and I made a bunch of new friends who were all “N-Word-Heads.”
