You are historically accurate, unfortunately.
To me anti semiticism seems to go dormant & then reemerge in cycles.
The latest manifestation in the West does not seem to be driven by low lifes like Phelps. It now seems to be driven by Liberal academics & others of the “enlightened” class.

As someone who likes to think of himself as both a liberal and an academic, I have to disagree. ‘liberal academics’ should not be bunched into the same group- most of them honestly don’t agree with eachother on most issues. Even if they were, they are hardly the sole cause- or even main cause- of anti semitism in the west. Our current example, Phelps, is a far cry from a liberal academic.
